This recruitment covers three categories of posts:

SSC CPO SI CAPF Recruitment 2026: Tentative Vacancies

Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police – Male: Total 205 posts (UR-87, OBC-54, SC-30, ST-14, EWS-20), including 184 open vacancies plus 21 posts for Ex-Servicemen (others + special category).

Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police – Female: Total 112 posts (UR-47, OBC-30, SC-16, ST-08, EWS-11).

Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: A total of 1320 posts (1173 male and 147 female), distributed across CRPF (254), BSF (457), ITBP (187), CISF (250), and SSB (172). Of these, 132 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) at 10%.

Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF – Male: Total 234 posts (UR-74, OBC-75, SC-52, ST-16, EWS-17), of which 18 posts are for ESM (10%).

Adding all categories together, the total tentative vacancies come to approximately 1871 (205+112+1320+234). Note that the Commission does not allocate vacancies state-wise, region-wise, or city-wise—selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India.

SSC CPO SI CAPF Recruitment 2026: Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026)

For all posts except SI(FIRE) in CISF, the age limit is 20 to 25 years, i.e., the candidate must be born not earlier than 02.08.2001 and not later than 01.08.2006.
For SI(FIRE) in CISF, the age limit is 18 to 30 years (born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008).
Age relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC get 3 years, and Ex-Servicemen get 3 years after deducting military service. Departmental candidates of Delhi Police (with 3 years’ service) get relaxation up to 30 years (UR/EWS), 33 years (OBC), and 35 years (SC/ST). Widows/divorced women get relaxation up to 35 years (general) and 40 years (SC/ST).

SSC CPO SI CAPF Recruitment 2026: Educational Qualification

For SI in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (candidates in their final year can also apply but must possess the qualification by the cut-off date).
For SI (Fire) in CISF: A B.Sc. degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, OR Matriculation plus a 3-year diploma in a relevant engineering trade.
For the Male SI post in Delhi Police, a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) is mandatory on the date fixed for PE&MT; candidates without it will only be eligible for SI posts in CAPFs.

Application Fee

Fee: Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)
Women candidates, SC, ST, and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the fee.
Fee can be paid only through online modes—BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit Card—by 01.10.2026 (23:00 hrs).
The fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other examination.

SSC CPO SI CAPF Recruitment 2026: Examination

The examination consists of four mandatory stages—Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

Paper-I (Total 100 marks, 1 hour, with a 15-minute sectional timer for each part): General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 questions/25 marks), General Knowledge & Awareness (25/25), Quantitative Aptitude (25/25), and English Comprehension (25/25). Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Paper-II (Total 320 marks): General Intelligence & Reasoning (20 questions/40 marks), General Knowledge & Awareness (20/40), and Quantitative Aptitude (20/40)—these three parts together get 1 hour (20-minute sectional timer each), and English Comprehension (100 questions/200 marks) gets a separate 1 hour. Negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Paper-II will have a higher difficulty level than Paper-I.

Question papers will be set in both Hindi and English. NCC certificate holders will also get bonus marks (5% of maximum marks for NCC ‘C,’ 3% for ‘B,’ and 2% for ‘A’).

Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Height (general male): 170 cm, chest 80–85 cm (both Delhi Police and CAPFs); relaxation for hill areas/ST candidates.
Height (general female): 157 cm (no chest measurement required).
PET (Male): 100-meter race in 16 seconds, 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes, long jump 3.65 meters, high jump 1.2 meters, shot put (16 lbs) 4.5 meters.
PET (Female): 100-meter race in 18 seconds, 800-meter race in 4 minutes, long jump 2.7 meters, high jump 0.9 meters.
PST/PET are qualifying in nature and carry no marks. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET but must clear PST and the prescribed medical standards.

First, complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on SSC’s new website https://ssc.gov.in.
OTR generated on the old website (ssc.nic.in) will not be valid — a fresh OTR must be created on the new website.
After completing OTR, fill in the Online Application Form. Applications will be accepted only through https://ssc.gov.in or the ‘mySSC’ mobile app.
